Welcome at last to spring/summer. Gone, hopefully, are the rainy days of April!
Wonder why no one celebrates May Day anymore. I remember in grade school have a May Day Day where the whole school would picknick and have May Pole's to dance around. We even made small paper cones with handles filled them with small flowers and hung anonymously on doorknobs. Of course that was before a random act of kindness could me misconstrued as a possible act of terrorism! Ahh, the simple days of yore!
There may be no organized celebrations for this day anymore but I always get excited on May 1st. Winter is far behind and Summer looms open and inviting. Fill it with cycling, tennis, fishing and the most wonderous activity kite flying, another childhood May memory.
